Frequently asked questions
We currently accept the following insurance plans:
Aetna
Maryland Medicaid
UnitedHealthCare
We are out of network with all other insurance plans at this time. Our office will accept additional insurance plans in the future. For now, we are happy to provide superbills for you to give to your insurance for potential reimbursement. It is recommended that you check with your insurance company first to ensure out of network coverage.
We also accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards as forms of payment, including CareCredit.
Afterschool hours are available for therapy appointments only. Testing appointments occur in the morning.
Some seek a psychological evaluation at the recommendation of their primary care physician and/or child’s school to determine a diagnosis and recommendations to best support the individual.
Additional reasons to seek an evaluation include: years of unexplained challenges, lack of progress in therapy, a desire to know more about yourself and how your brain is functioning, and/or obtaining an update on functioning.
All services begin with a 75-minute intake appointment to ensure you are receiving the most appropriate service. After the intake, a testing appointment will be scheduled for a future date. Testing appointments are scheduled for three hour windows. Depending on the presenting concern, multiple testing appointments may be required. Once all testing appointments are complete, your provider will prepare a written report discussing the findings. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to review the report with you. Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled within two weeks of your last testing appointment, and last for approximately 75 minutes.
